NZB Photography

NINFA Z. BITO is a freelance photographer based in the Philippines. She pursued formal training in Paris, where she met and assisted Georges Fevre, the former director of Paris's Pictorial Lab (PICTO), personal printer for Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, and Josef Koudelka. She later apprenticed with a commercial photographer in San Francisco, focusing on studio and location work, and attended the Santa Fe Workshops under National Geographic photographer Charles O'Rear. Her commercial portfolio spans interiors, food, products, portraits, fashion, and editorial/lifestyle photography, with work published in local and international publications. Ninfa subsequently transitioned to documentary photography and photojournalism, covering disaster relief, humanitarian, environmental, health, and social issues. In July 2005, she was one of four photojournalists awarded a Panos/Stop TB Media Fellowship to document tuberculosis in the Philippines. In 2010, she presented a solo exhibition, On The Surface, at the Greystone Gallery, followed by participation in the group exhibition Connectados at the Ayala Museum in 2012.
